Constructed of gilded and silvered zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbons and topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central destroyer cutting through waves, with its bow extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with plain, with a repaired vertical
