Nepenthes clipeata Size:Xs Nepenthes macfarlanei would be formidable

Nepenthes macfarlanei would be formidable contender for the most underappreciated Nepenthes species in the genus

The male parent is a beautiful selected clone of Nepenthes (lowii x veitchii) x boschiana which we call "white" because of its white

It is totally unique amongst carnivores and the genus is monotypic

We’ve really enjoyed the lime green peristome and pitcher bodies with purple stripes we’ve seen on some plants from this grex

Many plants have a very wide striped peristomes and a rajah shape with beautiful pink/red coloration on most clones

Nepenthes clipeata Size:Xs Nepenthes macfarlanei would be formidableAn absolutely unique and fascinating species from Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. It produces gorgeous porcelain colored pitchers with vaulted lids. The pitchers seem to hang in the air due to the midleaf (peltate) tendril insertions. This species is highly endangered and only a few plants still exist in the wild but thankfully it's in tissue culture. Thankfully this highly endangered species is now produced from a variety of sources. CAR plants
