Nepenthes vieillardii aroid NOTE: Photos of plant 2

NOTE: Photos of plant 2 were taken 3 weeks ago and plant has been developing even more root growth since

One of our favorites is 'Lime Twist'

waxy pitcher texture and impressive size

It is adapted to live on vertical limestone cliff faces throughout Sarawak and East Kalimantan on the island of Borneo

We're expecting squat shaped lower pitchers retaining some of the campanulata shape

Nepenthes vieillardii aroid NOTE: Photos of plant 2Nepenthes vieillardii is the easternmost growing Nepenthes species from the island of New Caledonia. It can be a challenging species in cultivation and we recommend reading Francois Mey's blog post. In short, it seems that Nepenthes vieillardii prefers very well drained soils such as the ultramaffic areas where it's found naturally. A mix with a good portion of aggregate including akadama is highly recommended and the plants should dry out a bit
