Selected by California horticulturist, John MacGregor, Salvia 'Indigo Spires' arose as a cross of Salvia farinacea x Salvia longispicata. Salvia 'Indigo Spires' forms an upright 3' tall clump, topped with arching spikes of dark blue purple flowers throughout summer and until frost.
