This sensor can be described as a flow pace sensor, which will throttle back the low pressure high output lamp of the system in no flow conditions, thereby reducing heat build up in the reactor and saving on energy. The calibration of the 254NM FP2 is set so the UV system will go into an alarm condition when the UV intensity drops below a 40 mJ cm2 dose. 254NM
