Vintage 1930s Courtly Dancing Embroidery Samplers - Baroque Era Couple - Set of Three 1954 Betsey Roosevelt Cushing Whitney{HISTORY} Stitched on soft, natural linen, these three vintage embroidery panels feature vignettes of a courtly couple dancing in the baroque ballrooms of the 17th and 18th centuries. There are wall mounted candlesticks, pastel floral bouquets and chivalrous gestures capturing the delicate and cordial air of dancing three centuries ago. Handstitched in the 1930s, all three panels contain a variety of embroidery styles including French knot, cross
