The hand cultivator has 3 long sharp tines which will pull through the soil pulling up weeds with log roots and at the same time turning the soil to allow aeration. With the pull motion the soil is overturned which improves aeration and during the push motion the overturned soil is broken up into smaller pieces. Use the hand tool as well
