The piece in question is a detail from a much larger mural that itself was a remake of the Vallombrosa Altarpiece by Pietro Perugino. This homage was painted by Sister M. Angelica Dolan (1860 c. 1940), a nun who formerly resided at the Sinsinawa Mother House (now Sinsinawa Mound Center), a convent in Wisconsin that occupies the grounds of what was once a boarding
