France, Ii Empire. An Expedition To Mexico Medal 1862-1863 United Republic of WWII Glasgow Police Bravery Group(Mdaille commmorative de l'expdition du Mexique). Instituted in 1863. In silver, engraver marked "BARRE" on the obverse, hallmarked with an eagle's head on the reverse, measuring 30. 7 mm in diameter, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Expedition to Mexico Commemorative Medal was instituted on August 29, 1863 and awarded for service in the Mexican Expedition of 1862 1863.
