BANQUETA RACIONALISTA XVIII Century including the most important institutionalMaterial: Oak wood Origin: France, circa 1960 Measurements: 61 cm long x 36 cm wide x 37 cm high This bench perfectly illustrates the Japonizing trend that influenced late rationalism from the 1950s onwards; in parallel with the discovery of Zen by American expressionist painting, avant garde architecture and design were imbued with Japanese influences to give emotion to the voids of minimalist purification.
