This piece was designed and created by Grant Goltz, a soil scientist at Chippewa National Forest. He manufactured decoys out of his basement for much of his life and achieved international recognition for his pieces in the 1970s. Goltz researched every bird he modeled a decoy after to ensure they are as anatomically correct as possible before even touching the
