Victorian Garnet Gold Digger Brooch plique-a-jour Cross for faithDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 A particularly good example of a South African goldrush brooch, dating from the 1880s. It comprises the standard miner's tools, a shovel, pick, and bucket, along with a rope and ladder. It also features two miniature gold nuggets, and has a garnet set into the shovel.
