In our full sun rock garden, it has made a compact clump to 6" tall x 1' wide. Each frond of this deer resistant dryland fern is dramatically smaller and narrower than is typical for Cheilanthes lanosa. Well drained soils are a must for Cheilanthes lanosa to thrive.
