I gave it an anticipated maturity range of 2015-2050 back in 2003

as well it should have been given the difficulty of the vintage

but will come around nicely

loamy soil and earthy minerality intermixed with some background smoke

It has definitely improved over last years report, but it has not lived up to my barrel tasting reviews. There is no explanation for this other than that the Araujos told me that the wine was bottled three months later than normal, which seems like a negligible reason to explain the differences.
