You place this mixer between the external filter and the inlet to the aquarium. Due to the power of the filter, the CO2 is mixed in the housing, allowing it to be absorbed even better than with regular diffusers or bubble counters. In the Mixer Reactor, CO2 is added via a 6mm hose that you connect to the push in fitting on the head. In
