The front has a functioning zipper, with its pull tab marked with a crown above "AM" (Air Ministry) on the obverse and marked "DOT" (Department of Overseas Trade) within a circular border surrounded by the inscription "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the reverse. Also, there is a 20 mm full length support strip stitched on the body of the jacket beside the
