Helleborus purpurascens Teliu Bauhinia with rigidly upright 18" tallThis is a limited collector edition offering of a Tom Mitchell seed collection of Helleborus purpurascens from just east of Teliu, Romania. The spikes of purple flowers emerge in spring, just prior to the new foliage. While the flower color of species lenten roses isn't usually as rich as in Helleborus x hybridus, we feel that the color from this population is an exceptional purple.
