Antique Milner's Safe Brass Emblem heart model 18" W x 18" DLate 1800s; Thomas Milner and Son, Milners Safe Co. This brass emblem would be attached to the outside of a Milner's safe. Thomas Milner moved from Sheffield to Liverpool in 1830 and established the firm of Thomas Milner and Son, pioneering fire resistant safes. In 1853, he acquired a 2. 5 acre site in Smithdown Lane, Liverpool, where he erected new works for safe manufacturing, and Milners Safe Company Ltd. was officially established by 1859. This
