All I could do was stare when I first saw this gem in the extinct crater that is Korea's Ulleung (aka Uulong) Island. We had seen lots of silver centered arisaema during our hike, but none like this. The 3' tall stalk was jet black, the wide 12 leaflet leaves were mostly silver with a band of green around the edge, and the dramatic black striped
