Dryopteris tokyoensis Philippines we just haven't had BletillaThe Tokyo wood fern is one of those little known, but splendid, deciduous woodland ferns, native to woodlands from Honshu to Shikoku and across to Korea. Similar to a dwarf Dryopteris x celsa, the tight, 3' wide, deer resistant clump of upright, narrow, 3' long fronds provide a nice vertical accent in the woodland garden. We think Dryopteris tokyoensis is an easy to grow and distinctive deer resistant fern for the woodland shade garden.
