Bountiful sunlight and cool foggy winds that roll off the deep Monterey Bay prevent the grapes from shutting down while continuing to build flavor and hold acidity. The "Submarine Canyon" vineyard name is a geographical reference to this very deep bay. The vines are also grown on rocky, well draining
