The American Special series offered an Alder Body, Texas Special pickups, an ash tray bridge w brass saddles, jumbo frets, CBS era Fender logo and a black Fender gig bag. This is fine example features a rosewood fingerboard with wide grain and lots of red striping. Fenders "C" neck profile is fairly skinny
