Miscanthus sinensis Goldfeder Blechnum cutting them into shorter piecesWe have long been fans of Hans Simon's 1950s introduction, Miscanthus 'Goldfeder', having grown it in our garden since 2000. It is quite puzzling how this, one of the only longitudinal gold variegated miscanthus cultivars, seems to have mostly disappeared from the commercial market. For us, Miscanthus sinensis 'Goldfeder' makes a large, elegant, arching, 5' tall clump of green and gold striped foliage topped, starting in early July, with 7' tall tan
